Specific Objectives

• The possibility for students to learn the history of Brasil through the real facts that envolve the different peoples of African origin and the history of Blacks in the country.

• Putting the students into theoretical activities, debates and presentations, and practical activities, courses and exibitions, in order for them to be involved in the project.

• Giving support to teachers, with new material, so that they will study effectively with the students the african histories and the one of the African people in Brazil.

• Giving to the teachers the possibility of adding to their knowledge and to their teaching approach the ACE content, considering the fact that for many of them it will be the first time that they are introduced to these subjects.

• Increase critical reflection regarding the history, culture and the reality of Afro Brazilian life as in the bases of Law # 10.639

• To realize a sense of race in the schools, crossreferencing racial, socioeconomic, psychological and other info, and in conclusion to trace the multi-racial traits of education in Minas Gerais
